Painting these three queens has been one of my most joyful experiences to date. Each queen carries her own distinct personality and style and bringing out those unique differences was deeply rewarding. The way the background fell into place felt almost magical, perfectly framing their forms without distracting from them. What I enjoyed most was adding the intricate body art and jewelry, every detail in metalwork, every bead and ornament and the way I defined their clothes, giving each drape, texture, and pattern its own life. The faces, too, became focal points, with carefully chosen expressions and a color palette that felt daring yet harmonious. I stayed true to that palette throughout, letting it guide and unify the piece. Altogether, the work feels regal and vivid something I can’t wait to share.
