From Cartoons to Causes: An Artist’s Fight for Health
Faith Mitchelle Agiza is a 22-year-old self-taught artist from Nairobi, Kenya. She uses her art to promote health and educate others through the messages her work carries. Her artistic journey began in childhood; whenever she encountered a favorite cartoon character, she would draw it, discovering a natural ability. Throughout her school years, fellow students acknowledged her drawing skills and often approached her to create artwork for them.
After completing school, she realized she could transform drawing from a hobby into a vocation. She opened an online shop and began using social media to promote and sell her artwork locally. Her inspiration often comes from observing common public health issues people face, as well as from artworks she encounters online, which she then reinterprets through her own creative lens.
Her aspiration is to remain passionately dedicated to her art, regardless of the challenges and achievements along the way. She aims not only to reach a wider audience but also to make a meaningful impact on people through her work.
